Hi There, I gave birth to my daughter 10 years ago at the 38 week stage. I was induced and had a forceps delivery. It was a difficult birth and long labour. They say this can be a factor of PP. But to be honest there is no actual reason why it happens?? It can happen to anyone at any time, stage, age, etc.
There just is no actual definite answers to why some women breeze through pregnancy and birth, and others dont. One thing that i did though once i recovered, and something my mum also did. Was to look at who or what was to blame? The answer sadly there just isnt one. It can happen to anyone. They think that stress can be a factor but i know of people who have had it who sailed through the pregnancy and birth and then got this terrible illness. I also know women who have had the worst pregnancy and birth (myself) That ended up with PP. I got pregnant with twins last year and had the worst pregnancy and birth ever!!! But ended up completley fine and i now have beautiful boy girl twins who are now 7 months old!! I went through pure hell with my eldest. I wrote a book- Saving Grace- Grace Sharrock- available to buy on Amazon. It may help your daughter knowing that she is not alone. Lots of love to you and your family xx
