My wife had PP 4 weeks after our second child. She had no problems with the first. She's home now but very anxious and I think therapy would help. What is the 'normal' treatment for PP? I'm not convinced the help she's geeting is enough. She's on anti psychotics which work well.

hi,
my wife has just suffered pp after 2 months of having our 2nd kid,no problem with the 1st. shes been in a mental health unit for 8 days now, on antipsychotic drugs.
the problem is, i dont know anything about this condition, how long it will last, what i can do to help.the nurses seem to block every attempt to see the consultant in charge.
i need someone who has been thru this to tell how it goes, pls..and what i can do.
there doesnt seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel right now....
